XCOM ENEMY UNKNOWN

     This is a legitimately great turn-based strategy title and it is absolutely soaked in an atmosphere of tension and dread. It does have a few problems, with enemy AI shooting through walls, having an extra turn in many instances, or just flat out cheating to gain the upper hand, and the Random Number Generator, which powers its combat, may make you wish you’d never picked up the game. That said, this game is still a solid title and, at this price, it’s hard to pass up.

Skyrim

      This is one of those generational totem poles, a game that will be played endlessly. It’s not flawless, for a game of this ambition could never be, but it is packed with content, to the point of I never having experienced even half of it, despite well over 100 hours of play time. While this isn’t the deepest discount of the Steam Sale, it is still a great chance to get acquainted with one of gaming’s greatest experiences.
